Modernizing workforce attendance management at the Economic Relations Division

Crystal Technology was engaged by the Economic Relations Division (ERD) under the Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, to implement a biometric attendance management system at their Dhaka headquarters. The project addresses the need for accurate, tamper-proof employee attendance tracking to improve workforce accountability and streamline administrative processes.

The solution combines purpose-built attendance management software with high-performance biometric fingerprint and face-recognition devices. The software platform provides real-time attendance dashboards, automated leave tracking, late arrival and early departure alerts, shift management, overtime calculations, and comprehensive reporting for HR and administrative decision-making.

Crystal Technology handled the complete project lifecycle from requirements analysis and software development, through hardware procurement and physical installation of biometric terminals at strategic entry and exit points, to user training and ongoing system maintenance. The solution integrates with existing ERD administrative workflows to provide a seamless digital attendance experience.

What we delivered.

Attendance Management Software

Custom-developed web-based attendance management platform with real-time dashboards, automated leave processing, shift scheduling, overtime tracking, and detailed reporting for administrators and HR personnel.

Biometric Device Supply

Procurement and delivery of advanced biometric terminals featuring fingerprint scanning and facial recognition capabilities, selected for reliability, speed, and accuracy in high-traffic government office environments.

Installation & Configuration

Physical installation of biometric devices at designated entry and exit points, network integration with the central attendance server, and configuration of device-to-software communication protocols for real-time data sync.

Employee Enrollment & Training

Systematic biometric enrollment of all ERD staff members, followed by comprehensive training sessions for employees on device usage and for administrators on software operation, report generation, and exception handling.

System Maintenance & Support

Ongoing technical support and maintenance covering software bug fixes, feature enhancements, biometric device calibration, hardware repairs, and regular system health checks to ensure uninterrupted attendance operations.
