Yearly maintenance of the birth certificate software system across all five zones of Dhaka North City Corporation — 2013 to 2014.
Crystal Technology was engaged by Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to provide yearly maintenance services for the birth certificate software system deployed across Zone 1 through Zone 5. Birth registration is a fundamental civic service, and the software system is essential for issuing official birth certificates to citizens residing within DNCC's jurisdiction.
The maintenance contract ensured continuous system availability and performance across all five zonal offices, which collectively serve millions of residents in northern Dhaka. Crystal Technology's team provided regular software updates, bug fixes, performance optimization, and on-site technical assistance to keep the birth registration process running smoothly.
The engagement also included database maintenance to handle growing record volumes, coordination with DNCC's central IT department on policy-driven changes, and ensuring that the system remained compliant with any updates to birth registration regulations issued by the government. This project complemented Crystal Technology's concurrent engagement with Dhaka South City Corporation for similar services.
Ongoing maintenance of the birth certificate software including bug fixes, stability improvements, security patches, and feature updates to ensure uninterrupted birth registration services across all five DNCC zones.
Regular database optimization including index maintenance, query tuning, storage management, and archival strategies to maintain fast search and retrieval performance across growing birth registration records.
Technical support personnel available at zonal offices to assist DNCC staff with daily system operations, troubleshoot user-reported issues, and ensure smooth birth certificate issuance workflows at all service points.
Scheduled backup routines and data protection measures to safeguard critical birth registration records, with documented recovery procedures and regular backup integrity verification for each zonal office database.
Regular system health checks across all five zones, monitoring server performance, disk usage, application logs, and network connectivity to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact service delivery.
Timely implementation of software changes to accommodate updates in birth registration regulations, certificate format requirements, and government reporting mandates, maintaining full regulatory compliance across all zones.
