Crystal Technology was engaged by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to provide yearly maintenance services for the birth certificate software system deployed across Zone 1 through Zone 5. The birth registration system is a critical civic service, enabling citizens to obtain official birth certificates required for school admissions, national ID applications, passport processing, and various legal purposes.
The maintenance engagement ensured that the software remained stable, secure, and responsive under the high daily transaction volumes typical of a major metropolitan corporation. Crystal Technology's team addressed software bugs, implemented feature enhancements requested by zonal offices, optimized database performance, and ensured data accuracy across all five zones.
The project also included on-site technical support at each zonal office, regular system health checks, data backup and recovery services, and coordination with DSCC's IT department to align the software with any changes in birth registration regulations or reporting requirements mandated by the government.
