Comprehensive automation upgrade at the Maternal & Child Health Training Institute and Mohammadpur Fertility Services & Training Center for DGFP, Dhaka — 2019 to 2022.
Crystal Technology was engaged by the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP), Dhaka to undertake a major automation upgrade at two critical healthcare facilities: the Maternal and Child Health Training Institute (MCHTI) at Azimpur and the Mohammadpur Fertility Services and Training Center (MFSTC). The Notice of Award (NOA) was issued in May 2019.
The upgrade introduced a wide array of modern software modules tailored to the specialized workflows of maternal, child, and reproductive health services. The system included Registration, Health ID generation, Antenatal Care (ANC), OPD, Billing, Pharmacy, IPD, Birth Certificate issuance, Blood Bank management, Sonography, Pathology, interactive Dashboard, comprehensive Report generation, Store and inventory management, and a Queue Management System (QMS).
This project represented a significant step forward in digitizing family planning healthcare in Bangladesh, providing clinicians and administrators with real-time data visibility, streamlined patient flows, and automated record-keeping across all departments at both facilities.
Development and deployment of Registration, Health ID, ANC, OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Birth Certificate, Sonography, and Pathology modules — covering the full patient journey from registration through discharge.
A dedicated blood bank module for donor registration, blood group inventory tracking, cross-matching, issue management, and compliance reporting to maintain safe and efficient blood supply operations.
Interactive real-time dashboards and a comprehensive reporting engine providing facility administrators and DGFP officials with actionable insights on patient volumes, service utilization, revenue, and operational performance.
Automated store management module for tracking medical supplies, consumables, and equipment across both facilities, with stock alerts, purchase order workflows, and usage analytics.
Digital queue management system with token generation, display boards, and automated patient calling to reduce waiting times, improve patient experience, and streamline outpatient department workflows.
Unique Health ID generation for every patient enabling longitudinal health records, with specialized Antenatal Care tracking for maternal health visits, risk assessments, and follow-up scheduling.
