Extending and upgrading the hospital automation system at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), Dhaka — 2020 to 2022.
The Extension of NITOR Automation project built upon Crystal Technology's earlier engagement at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. As NITOR's patient load grew and new departments came online, the existing automation system required significant expansion to cover additional clinical workflows, upgraded hardware, and enhanced networking infrastructure across the facility.
Crystal Technology delivered a comprehensive extension that introduced new software modules including Registration, Emergency, OPD, IPD, Operation Theatre (OT), Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Blood Bank, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), Queue Management System (QMS), and Housekeeping. Each module was tightly integrated to provide seamless data flow from patient admission through discharge and follow-up.
In addition to software, the project encompassed hardware procurement and installation, structured LAN networking upgrades, extensive staff training programs, dedicated on-site manpower deployment, and a long-term maintenance agreement to ensure sustained operational reliability throughout the institute.
Development and deployment of 12 integrated modules: Registration, Emergency, OPD, IPD, OT, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Blood Bank, PACS, QMS, and Housekeeping — covering every clinical and administrative workflow at NITOR.
Procurement and commissioning of desktops, monitors, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, and other peripheral equipment required for newly automated departments and expanded workstation capacity.
Structured LAN cabling and network infrastructure upgrades to connect new departments, expand bandwidth capacity, and ensure reliable high-speed connectivity across the entire NITOR campus.
Comprehensive hands-on training sessions for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, OT staff, and administrative personnel on all newly deployed software modules and hardware systems.
Dedicated IT support personnel stationed on-site at NITOR for day-to-day system operations, user assistance, troubleshooting, data backup management, and real-time issue resolution.
Long-term maintenance agreement covering software updates, bug fixes, server administration, database optimization, hardware servicing, and continuous system improvement throughout the engagement period.
