Crystal Technology is executing a major expansion of the Shared Health Record (SHR) initiative under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) MIS division. This multi-year project (2024-2027) extends hospital automation and digital health record capabilities to 18 additional health facilities across Bangladesh.
The SHR platform enables patients to carry a unified digital health record across participating facilities, eliminating redundant tests, preventing adverse drug interactions, and ensuring continuity of care regardless of which facility a patient visits. Each of the 18 new sites receives a complete technology stack — from software deployment to physical infrastructure.
This expansion builds on Crystal Technology's proven track record with the DGHS and represents a significant step toward the government's vision of a nationally interconnected health information system. The project encompasses diverse facility types ranging from upazila health complexes to district hospitals, each requiring tailored implementation approaches.
