Deploying the Shared Health Record system to 50 public health facilities nationwide for DGHS MIS, Mohakhali — 2019 to 2022.
Crystal Technology was awarded the contract to deploy the Shared Health Record (SHR) system across 40 Upazila Health Complexes and 10 District Hospitals under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) MIS division at Mohakhali, Dhaka. The Notice of Award (NOA) was issued in June 2019, marking the beginning of a large-scale nationwide health digitization effort.
The project involved end-to-end delivery of the SHR platform — a comprehensive hospital management and patient record system designed to unify clinical data across geographically dispersed facilities. The software enabled real-time patient tracking, standardized clinical workflows, and centralized reporting to improve healthcare delivery and policy decision-making at the district and national levels.
Crystal Technology managed the complete project lifecycle including hardware delivery and commissioning at all 50 sites, structured LAN networking installation, SHR software deployment and configuration, on-site staff training for clinical and administrative users, and ongoing technical support to ensure smooth adoption and sustained system operation.
Installation, configuration, and go-live of the Shared Health Record platform across all 50 health facilities, with modules for patient registration, clinical records, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, and centralized reporting.
Supply and commissioning of desktops, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, UPS units, and all required peripheral devices at each of the 40 UHCs and 10 District Hospitals.
Structured LAN cabling and network setup at every deployment site, connecting departments, server rooms, and workstations with reliable high-speed wired connectivity.
Tailoring the SHR system to meet the specific workflow requirements of each facility type — adapting forms, reports, and processes for both Upazila-level and District Hospital-level operations.
Hands-on training programs delivered to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, and administrative staff at all 50 sites, ensuring confident and effective use of the new digital systems.
Ongoing remote and on-site technical support throughout the project period, including software updates, bug fixes, server monitoring, data backup, and hardware maintenance services.
