Project overview

In 2015, Crystal Technology completed a hardware supply, installation, and staff training project for Sarkari Karmachari Hospital (SKH) at Fulbaria, Dhaka. SKH is the dedicated healthcare facility for government employees and their families, and this project laid the IT foundation that would later support the hospital's broader digital transformation initiatives.

The engagement focused on equipping the hospital with modern computing hardware, establishing core IT infrastructure, and building staff capacity through structured training programs. At a time when many government hospitals in Bangladesh were still operating with minimal technology, this project positioned SKH as an early adopter of digital operations.

This 2015 engagement established Crystal Technology's long-standing relationship with SKH — a partnership that has since grown to encompass the much larger 500-bed HSMS project currently underway at the same institution.

Scope of work

Hardware Supply

Procurement and delivery of desktop computers, monitors, printers, scanners, and UPS units for key hospital departments including registration, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, and administration offices.

Hardware Installation

Professional on-site installation of all computing equipment including physical setup, cable management, power connectivity, and ergonomic workstation arrangement at each designated service point within the hospital.

IT Infrastructure Setup

Establishment of foundational IT infrastructure including local area network cabling, network switch deployment, internet connectivity configuration, and server room preparation to support the hospital's new digital capabilities.

Software Configuration

Installation and configuration of operating systems, office productivity software, antivirus protection, and network settings on all deployed workstations to ensure they were ready for immediate productive use by hospital staff.

Staff Training Programs

Structured training sessions for hospital employees covering basic computer operations, office software usage, printing and scanning workflows, email communication, and data entry practices relevant to their daily responsibilities.

Handover & Documentation

Formal equipment handover with comprehensive asset documentation including serial numbers, warranty information, configuration records, and basic troubleshooting guides for SKH's IT asset management and future reference.
