End-to-end automation of the district-level hygienic slaughterhouse in Jhenaidah for the Dept. of Livestock Services, 2023–2025 — Ongoing.
As part of the Government of Bangladesh's initiative to modernize livestock processing across the country, the Department of Livestock Services (DLS) engaged Crystal Technology to automate the district-level hygienic slaughterhouse in Jhenaidah. This project mirrors the successful Bogura deployment while being tailored to the specific operational scale and regional requirements of the Jhenaidah facility.
The automation solution transforms the entire meat processing chain into a digitally monitored, hygienically controlled operation. From the moment livestock arrives at the facility for ante-mortem veterinary inspection through the slaughter process, carcass handling, quality grading, cold storage, and final dispatch, every step is tracked through an integrated software platform supported by IoT sensors that continuously monitor environmental conditions.
Crystal Technology delivered all project components including specialized processing machinery, facility construction and upgrades to meet national hygiene standards, IoT sensor networks for environmental monitoring and compliance, management software for end-to-end traceability, workforce training programs, and long-term on-site maintenance personnel to keep operations running smoothly.
Integrated digital platform for livestock intake logging, veterinary inspection records, processing line management, cold storage tracking, distribution documentation, and regulatory compliance reporting with full traceability.
Supply, installation, and commissioning of industrial-grade slaughterhouse equipment including stunning systems, rail conveyors, hide pulling machines, carcass splitting saws, washing stations, and refrigeration units.
Structural modifications and civil works including hygienic flooring, stainless steel work surfaces, industrial drainage, ventilation systems, water treatment, and waste disposal infrastructure to meet national food safety standards.
Installation of networked IoT sensors for continuous monitoring of ambient temperature, cold room conditions, humidity levels, and water quality, with automated alerts and historical data logging for audit and compliance purposes.
Comprehensive training for facility operators, veterinary staff, quality assurance inspectors, and management personnel covering equipment operation, digital system usage, hygiene protocols, and safety procedures.
Dedicated on-site technical team for daily operational support, combined with scheduled preventive maintenance for all machinery, IoT infrastructure, software systems, and facility equipment throughout the contract period.
